22 7/8in. nitro reproved barrel engraved 'GRIFFIN & HOWE INC. NEW YORK. NY.', ramp-mounted bead fore-sight, the receiver mounted with a detachable WVS L7 adjustable rearsight, with side-mounted Swarovski Z6i 1-6x24 telescopic sight, serial no. R790350486, on a Griffin & Howe marked quickly-detachable rail, the rings with acanthus scroll engraving, Built on a pre-64 Winchester Model 70 action (serial number dates to approx. 1959), jewelled bolt, chequered hollow bolt knob, floral engraved recoil blocks, hinged floorplate with push button release, finely engraved by William V Wild for the current owner with bold acanthus scrollwork on a matted background, with central bright finish roundel with a lone archer and with the engravers initials 'WVW', the triggerguard initialled CJP, figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, monte carlo comb, steel pistolgrip-cap, sling swivels, 13 7/8in. pull including 1in. rubber recoil pad, weight 9lb. 2oz. (open sights) and 10lb. 7oz. (telescopic sight)
